I thought I would be able to write something profound about my experience on my first day back. But the shock of the 35 degree change in weather and the snowfall has left me dumbfounded.
This is what I look like, and as you can see by AJ Bear’s face, he refuses to come out and wants to go right back to Uganda or any other place where he doesn’t have to wear the layers I had to put on this morning. Which is exactly what AJ would have done if faced with the same situation. I recall this from previous similar experiences.

On a good note, I had some very interesting conversations with my friends and colleagues and am on a mission to learn more about sustainable, affordable and acceptable feminine hygiene products globally . That is going to be my next project when I go back to Uganda. Yes-I’m definitely going back. Now I just have to break this news to the CEO of HEAL. Maybe I need to stop calling him a slave driver.
Happy International Women’s Day everyone. Stay Warm. Liberty and Equality is what we shall strive for. Please join us for an IWD gala with some excellent conversations and delicious food on March 30th at the Radisson Inn. I’m sure the weather will be much warmer by then!
You can purchase tickets from the link below.

It was a joy and a privilege to follow AJ ‘s journey.
