Sunset Travels

In October, to celebrate Freedom 55, AJ Bear and I did a whirlwind tour of South America with Sunset Tours. The Galapagos Islands are out of this world- definitely a worthwhile trip for anyone who sat in awe during science class as their teacher discussed Darwin’s theory of natural selection. Of course, Peru is a must on any South American tour- so AJ Bear and I explored Sacred Valley again and this time via train to Machu Picchu- so much more civilized. Thereafter, we went to Argentina and did Iguazu falls- totally breathtaking. The highlight was the boat ride into the falls- the sheer power of the water was incredible and spiritually uplifting. Sitting in the boat in the midst of the falls in total peace, whilst the world around is in chaos-  humbling and exhilarating all at once. The helicopter ride to view both the Argentina and Brazil sides of the falls from the air put things into perspective. So huge when you are in the centre of it and yet minuscule from the top.
